The EMT Academy provides an entry point for individuals to begin their firefighting careers. Cadets undergo both virtual and in-person training for certification. They also receive physical training for the CPAT and preparatory instruction for the Cal-JAC written exam. There are no tuition fees, thanks to Cal-JAC's partnerships, making this program accessible to aspiring EMTs.
