EMT-Basic

The EMT course at Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) covers 180 hours over a seven-credit curriculum focusing on essential skills required for a career in Emergency Medical Services. Designed to prepare individuals for the Massachusetts and National EMT Certification, this hybrid course includes both online learning and in-person hands-on laboratory sessions. Graduates will be capable of providing competent emergency medical care at the Basic level, a stepping stone for advanced certifications like Paramedic.

Paramedic Studies Program

Charlestown CampusChelsea Campus

This 15-month certificate program at BHCC advances EMT-certified students to the Paramedic level by following the National Standard EMT-Paramedic Curriculum. The program is aligned with the Massachusetts Office of Emergency Medical Services standards, preparing students for the National Registry of EMTs exams. Completing this coursework enables further academic pursuit towards an Associate in Paramedic Studies, integrating clinical proficiency with comprehensive emergency medical expertise.
