Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting (ARFF)

The ARFF program at Big Bend Community College offers courses that combine classroom instruction and live fire drills. Trainees learn essential skills such as search and rescue techniques, hose handling, and handline and truck tactics. The program is designed to simulate realistic conditions using diesel fuel and Dry Chem, ensuring that participants are well-prepared to respond effectively in emergency situations at airports.
