A two-year sequential program taught in one year that prepares students for Virginia Department of Health EMT-Basic certification. Students study anatomy, physiology, introduction to emergency medical care, airway management, patient assessment, medical emergencies, and trauma care. The program includes hands-on experience with fully-equipped training equipment including an ambulance. Students receive Basic Life Support (CPR) Certification from the American Heart Association and Advanced First Aid Certification from the National Safety Council.

May be dual-enrolled at Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) as EMS 111 & EMS 120 for up to 8 college credits.
